Butterfly in the sky

Here is the second of four cards that we did the other night at my "Sale-a-bration Soiree".  I CASE'd this card from one I saw on Pinterest.  You can follow me on Pinterest to see this card....click on the icon on the sidebar to link to my Pinterest page.

I was SO excited when I saw the new "Bitty Butterfly" punch in Stampin' Up's Spring Catalogue.   I already loved the Butterfly punch and Papillion Potpourri stamp set and this, of course, goes perfectly with both.

The other stamp set I used on this card is another one of my favourites, "Itty Bitty Phrases".  Right now you can get this stamp set FREE through Sale-a-bration.  Contact me for more details or to place an order.

Here are the card details:

Owl Occasions For You

I'm really behind in my blog postings!  It's just been one of those week's where I hardly get a chance to sit down let alone to any blogging.  So, I'll keep this short and sweet tonight.   This is a card that I made a couple of month's ago for my brother and his wife to go with a housewarming gift.

Isn't it cute?!  I purchased Stampin' Up's "Owl Occasions" stamp set on a whim but I have to say, I'm really glad I did.  It's so much fun to play with and offers a lot of possibilities.....just wait until I use it for Christmas!

Here are the details of the supplies I used:

Stamp Sets:  Owl Occasions, Itty Bitty Banners

Paper:  Lucky Limeade, Early Espresso, Whisper White and International Bazaar DSP

Ink:  Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade

Accessories: Bitty Banners Framelits

Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Thank You

The card I'm sharing with you tonight is one that I CASE'd from an issue of Stampin' Success (Stampin' Up's demonstrator magazine).  I really liked the colour combination and the simplicity of this card.  I did this card at my September Make and Take and it was very easy.

I used the Simply Scored tool to create a little more interest in the top right corner.  The Simply Scored tool is a great way to add a little "embossing" without having the Big Shot.

The Papillion Potpourri set is so pretty and the coordinating punch is just great!

Here are the rest of the details:

Stamp Sets:  Papillion Potpourri, Itty Bitty Banners

Ink and Paper:  Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White

Accessories:  Simply Scored tool, Delicate Doilies Sizzix die, Bitty Banners Framelits, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Pool Party Baker's Twine, 1' Circle Punch

Happy Birthday Dad for SSC 261!

My father's birthday is this week and I turned to Stamping 411's Saturday Sketch Challenge to help with a layout for a card for him.  I had fun creating a "manly" card using my brand new "Clockworks" stamp set from Stampin' Up's new catalogue!  Love it!  I admit that visualising what could be created with this set is a little difficult for me, it really does lend itself to some cool designs.  Check out what I came up with:

Manly "Clockworks" card

I was really pleased with the result.  I had fun with lots of new product to make this card.  As I mentioned, "Clockworks" is a great new Stampin' Up stamp set and includes a great "splat" stamp which I stamped in Crumb Cake first.  I then used the "seagull splat" stamp in Soft Suede and finally stamped the cogs in Cajun Craze and Midnight Muse.

One of the other new product "bundles" I used was the "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set and matching "Bitty Banners" Framelits dies.  What a great combination.  The DSP is "Comfort Cafe"....love it!  This collection of Designer Series Paper contains such versatile patterns and I really like the colour combinations.

I finished off the card with Early Espresso Baker's Twine and Linen Thread.  I found that the Baker's Twine was a little too white against the Very Vanilla so I took a sponge inked with Soft Suede ink and ran it along the thread a few times to "antique" it a little.  I also distressed the edges of the cardstock.

I mailed it off almost as soon as I finished it.  I hope he likes it : )

Here is a more concise list of products used:

Stamp Sets:  Clockworks, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla card stock.  Comfort Cafe DSP.

Ink:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Midnight Muse and Cajun Craze

Accessories:  Bitty Banners Framelits dies, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, Linen Thread.

Happy Stamping!

Simple Rainbow Cards #2

As I was cleaning up my stamping desk and moving things around some left over DSP scraps caught my eye.  I love the combination of the colo...
